LET'S BEGIN

Thank you so much for considering me to be a part of the creative team for your big day. I’m a huge fan of the romantic nature of elopements, and being included in these truly intimate ceremonies is such a deep honor.

Let’s begin by crafting your ideal photography collection. The base elopement collection below can easily be customized with add-ons and a la carte options to ensure that you have the coverage that best suits your day.

I can’t wait to chat further with you about your vision for your big day!

ELOPING AT SAN FRANCISCO CITY HALL

San Francisco City Hall remains one of the most beloved spots in the country for elopements and it’s easy to see why: From the sweeping grand staircase to the awe-inspiring archways, the white marble interior and the famous rotunda, it provides the sweetest and most romantic, Paris-inspired backdrop for your I-dos.

The long-awaited day is here! San Francisco City Hall has reopened for weddings and civil ceremonies. For more information about this reopening phase, please check updates here directly from the County Clerk office.

FAQS

WHAT ARE THE BEST DAYS AND TIMES TO ELOPE AT CITY HALL?

Civil ceremony reservations are available every half hour between 9:00 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The building is beautiful all times of day, but mid-morning is a great time to book your elopement, both for great light as well as reduced crowds, especially on the Grand Staircase. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the quietest days, while Fridays are the busiest, especially in the afternoon. City Hall also offers private rentals if you envision a larger or longer wedding ceremony or reception.

WHERE DO CEREMONIES TAKE PLACE?

There are two options for locations of civil ceremonies: the rotunda and the private ceremony room. The rotunda is stunning, with sweeping views of the building, and is more readily available for ceremonies during less busy days and times. Either way, the entire building is available for photos after your ceremony, so even if your ceremony takes place in the private ceremony room, you won’t miss out on being able to take photos throughout the rest of the building.

You also have the option of doing a private rental for your ceremony, either during weekday business hours, or after hours in the evenings or on the weekend. City Hall allows private wedding rentals of the Mayor’s Balcony, the 4th Floor North Gallery, and the 4th Floor South Gallery, or full building buy-outs. Private rentals allow for you to have more guests at your ceremony, as well as chairs, an aisle, your own officiant, programs, decorations, and acoustic musicians.

HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION TO ELOPE AT CITY HALL?

If you are interested in a civil ceremony, please contact the County Clerk’s office to set up your ceremony appointment. If instead you prefer to do a private rental of the Mayor’s Balcony, the 4th street North or South galleries, or a buy-out of the building, please contact San Francisco City Hall Events.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I PLAN MY CEREMONY?

Appointments for civil ceremonies may be made anytime within 90 days of your ceremony date. For private rentals, City Hall requires a minimum of three weeks advance notice for one and two hour weddings, and a minimum of four weeks notice for evening and weekend events.
